Many men and women have insecurities about the appearance of their nose, with rhinoplasty being one of the most common aesthetic procedures in the UK. The shape, size and symmetry of the nose can impact on how you see your entire face, and can’t easily be hidden or covered with makeup. Traditional rhinoplasty is a major commitment, which isn’t right for many people. Non-surgical rhinoplasty is the process of gently reshaping the nose using dermal filler, to even out bumps and asymmetry in the nose in a more affordable treatment with less risks and downtime.

Traditionally, rhinoplasty could only be carried out through surgical nose reshaping through both open and closed surgery, with the high costs and significant recovery time required that goes along with it. Often requiring the nasal bone itself to be broken, with occasional removal of cartilage; surgical rhinoplasty requires the use of general anaesthetic, an overnight hospital stay, time off work, significant bruising and visible post-operative bandaging for at least 1-2 weeks. Furthermore, traditional surgical rhinoplasty is irreversible, which for some patients is a very high risk, and not one that can feasibly be taken by a lot of people.

What Is Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty?

Non-surgical rhinoplasty helps to provide an alternative to surgical options, by offering instant results, with very little or no downtime. It is commonly known as the “lunchtime nose-job”, or “15 minute nose-job” as the treatment can be completed within an hour, with often very little or no evidence of treatment.

The non-surgical rhinoplasty uses dermal filler to add shape, balance and definition to the nose. Dermal fillers are substances made primarily of naturally-occurring hyaluronic acid, which is one of the safest filler materials available. Hyaluronic acid is a fantastic ingredient that can hold up to 1000 times its own weight in water, creating a beautiful, smooth and hydrated appearance. Hyaluronic acid is also biodegradable, meaning that it is broken down by the body over time, so the treatment is not permanent, unlike a surgical rhinoplasty. This means that repeat treatments are required to maintain results, but also improves the safety and flexibility of the treatment, to make sure you can get the perfect results.

The treatment can help to improve the alignment of the nose, as well as to soften visible deformities in the shape of the nose. It can also be used to build up a smaller nose and contour to give larger noses a minimised appearance, and is safe for patients who have had a surgical rhinoplasty in the past.

Non-surgical rhinoplasty is ideal for anyone who has any minor deformity of the nose, including a crooked or hooked shaped nose, a mild bump on the bridge of the nose or a small droop towards the tip of the nose. It can also create a higher or better defined nose and nasal tip.

Non-surgical rhinoplasty does, however, have limitations. It cannot physically reduce the size of the nose or correct breathing or nasal passageway problems which are often treated using surgical rhinoplasty.

Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty Treatment At Revolution Aesthetics

At REVOLUTIONAESTHETICS , the safety and value we offer to our patients are core tenets of our business. When we receive an enquiry about non-surgical rhinoplasty treatment, we’ll carry out an initial consultation to make sure you’re suitable for treatment. Then, we’ll see you for a full, in-person consultation at our private Altrincham clinic, to allow us to tailor your results to you, and make sure the treatment will give you the results you’re looking for.

As a small team of medical professionals, it’s of utmost importance to us that our patients always receive the best possible advice and care, informed by our principles of safety and ethical practice. If, during your consultation, we come to the conclusion that any of our treatments aren’t right for you, won’t give you the results you’re looking for, or won’t help you feel your best, then we will look into alternatives or guide you towards a treatment course or clinic that can better help improve your life in an effective and tangible way.

On the day of your treatment, you’ll be welcomed to the clinic by our friendly and expert staff. All of our non-surgical rhinoplasty treatments are carried out by Dr. Euchael Davidson, a highly-qualified medical doctor with a keen interest and extensive knowledge in the field of aesthetics.

Often in the aesthetics industry, there is a so-called ‘doctor premium’, where treatments administered by doctors are significantly more expensive than those administered by aesthetic nurses or other practitioners. At Revolution Aesthetics, even though your non-surgical rhinoplasty will be carried out by a fully qualified doctor, we are passionate about making our treatments affordable, and don’t feel the need to add any additional fees to the cost of your treatment. This means you are getting high-quality treatment from a fully-qualified practitioner, while also getting excellent value.

At Revolution Aesthetics, we use market leading brands of filler, including Juvederm and Restylane, to ensure the safety and comfort of our patients. Both Juvederm and Restylane are FDA approved, and offer flexibility, durability and an excellent safety profile.

During your treatment, Dr. Davidson will apply a numbing cream to the area to improve patient comfort during the procedure. Then, using an ultra-fine needle, the filler will be injected very precisely into the nose, to add shape, balance and volume. The filler often has to be gently massaged to get the perfect shape for your face. The filler will be added gently, safely and gradually, and Dr. Davidson will check with you frequently to ensure you’re happy with the results, and that they remain smooth, subtle and natural-looking.

The results of the non-surgical rhinoplasty treatment are instant, so you can see your results straight away. You might experience some slight bruising or swelling, but this usually subsides after a day or two. You should avoid strenuous exercise and wearing glasses or sunglasses for 24 hours if possible, to allow the filler to completely settle.

The amount of time non-surgical rhinoplasty treatment lasts for will vary from person to person, based on the amount of filler used, where in the nose it has been injected (for example, the bridge and sides of the nose are far more mobile than the tip, so filler in these areas will break down more quickly than others), and how quickly each patient’s body naturally breaks down the hyaluronic acid in the fillers. However, most treatments last from 12 to 18 months, after which time, the treatment can be carried out again to maintain results.

FAQ's

Q. How long does non-surgical rhinoplasty treatment take?

The procedure takes around 30 minutes to complete, but every person is different and this will be discussed in your personalised consultation.

Q. What will the treatment involve?

Following an individual consultation and examination, local anaesthetic is applied to the area to numb the skin for several minutes. Then a fine needle or cannula is used to precisely administer filler to reshape and redefine the nose.

Q. Is the treatment painful?

A local anaesthetic cream is used before your treatment so the skin is numbed. We also use ultra-fine needles to improve comfort during treatment.

Q. Who will perform my treatment?

Dr. Euchael Davidson performs all of our non-surgical rhinoplasty procedures at Revolution Aesthetics. Dr. Davidson graduated from Manchester University and has over 10 years of medical experience, as well as full training as a GP. He has always been passionate about aesthetic medicine, and is fully registered with the General Medical Council (GMC Number 7084702).

Q. How long do the results of non-surgical rhinoplasty treatment last?

The results of our non-surgical rhinoplasty last for 12-18 months. However, ultimately the duration is different for each patient. The dermal filler dissipates naturally, and we can then carry out another treatment for you accordingly.

Q. When will I see results?

Following the treatment, you will often see an initial result immediately. There will be some subtle swelling, which will take time to settle, normally 1-2 days. Post-procedural advice is discussed in detail following the treatment to ensure the best long-term outcome.

Q. How much does the non-surgical rhinoplasty cost?

The price of a non-surgical rhinoplasty starts at around £500, though this will depend on the volume and type of filler used for your treatment. This will be discussed with you during the consultation process.
